Meado Mascaro was born on February 3, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A young man from a strong Italian background, he learned the value of a dollar at a very young age. Although he never completed high school, Meado had a great work ethic and worked very hard for a local bakery as a delivery truck driver. He provided for his beautiful bride, Virginia, and their true love story was that of a legend. The Mascaros birthed four children, Barbara, Raymond, Lawrence, and William. Sadly, Virginia joined the Lord in Heaven 36 years ago. Meado had to learn a new way of life without her. He traveled to South Florida for visits with his children often. It was on one of these such trips that Meado joined Virginia in eternal rest. On March 21, 2012 he passed away quietly with his family by his side in Delray Beach, FL. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara (Ross) Smith, Ray (Patty) Mascaro, Larry (Janet) Mascaro, and Bill Mascaro; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. He will also be missed by his long time friend and companion Amy Klopsic. Viewing hours will be held on March 24, 2012 in Boca Raton, FL and again on March 28, 2012 in Penn Hills, PA. He will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills, PA on March 29, 2012.
