AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Nicholas Anthony Felicione

14 décembre 1933 – 6 juin 2023
Avis de décès de Nicholas Anthony Felicione
AUX SOINS DE

Babione Funeral Home

We sadly announce the passing of Nick Felicione on June 6, 2023. Nicholas Anthony Felicione, 89, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Hilda, at his side. Early that morning, Nicholas was ushered into heaven.

Born in Jamaica, NY, to Biagio and Filomena Felicione on December 14, 1933, Nicholas was the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Jamaica High School in 1951 and married his wife, Hilda, in 1954. For 69 years, Nick and Hilda were devoted to each other, spending every day together building a beautiful life.

Shortly after Nick and Hilda were married, Nick was a medic in the Army, and the two lived near his base in Boston, Massachusetts. When his military service was completed, Nick and Hilda returned to New York and lived on Long Island, in Elmont and Franklin Square. They had four children and lived a happy, contented life surrounded by their large, loving extended family. Besides family time, Nick enjoyed playing and watching sports; the Giants and the Mets were his favorites.

In 1988, at the age of 55, Nick retired, and he and Hilda bought a home in Boca Raton, Florida, where they have lived for the past 35 years. Never one to stand still, Nick came out of his short-lived retirement that year to open Nick Felicione, Inc. providing pest control and other home services. He and Hilda built the company from a startup to one that services thousands of valued customers and financially supports dozens of employee families. Loved by his customers and employees, Nick was always known to have a friendly smile, kind words, and a cheery personality that can put anyone in a good mood.

While Nick loved to work and continued working until age 89, his real passions were his wife and family. He dedicated his life to providing for them and spending every available moment enjoying being with them. Nick loved Hilda’s cooking, and she was happy to make his meals fit for a king every day. Throughout his life, he was a favorite of the nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always playing with them—building forts, playing sports and games, and showing his perpetually young spirit. For many years, on Sundays, Nick and Hilda hosted breakfast club, and family members would gather to have eggs cooked to order by Nick, in addition to his famous pancakes. It was common to have twenty people or more there on Sunday morning, and Nick loved every minute of it. His family was his heart and soul.

Nick is survived by his wife Hilda; children Filomena (Carmen) Mastrangelo, Susan Manning, Maria Ellen (Richard) Perrin, and Nicola (Marc Andre) Boisseau; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A service will be held for the immediate family on June 9, 2023. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held in December 2023 for extended family and friends.
