Paul Vincent Hyland, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away at his residence in Boca Raton, Florida on January 21, 2024 at the age of 74.
Paul was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 21, 1949 and raised in Keansburg, NJ. An avid guitar player, scuba diver, and US Air Force veteran, Paul's journey through life was marked by triumph and hardship. As a teenager, he met Kathleen Bracken, who would become his lifelong partner and wife. Paul and Kathleen married early in life and remained married until she passed. Paul's entered the Air Force shortly after their marriage serving his country with honor during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of duty and sacrifice, qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
Approximately 40 years ago, Paul and Kathleen made the decision to start a new chapter in their lives and and moved to Palm Beach County, Florida. It was there that they built a life together, surrounded by the warmth of the sun and the love of their family. They were blessed with three children: Paul Vincent Hyland Jr, Violet Brannon, and Michael Hyland. Sadly, Paul is preceded by his wife Kathleen Bracken Hyland and his children Violet Brannon and Paul Vincent Hyland Jr. Their loss was a sorrow that could not be expressed in words, their memories will forever be cherished and their spirits will live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Paul is survived by his son, Michael Hyland; his grandchildren Marcus Brannon, Clay Brannon, Devlin Hyland, and Fiona Hyland; and his great grandson Ryker Brannon who brought a sense of pride, purpose, and happiness into Paul's life.
