I came upon Ricks guest book quite by accident searching for information on my first love Diana Newton.

Rick and I were very good friends at South Broward High School in the early 60's.. Both Rick and I were dating Diana at the same time it turns out, and we still remained friends. I introduced Rick to Diana one day after school and the rest is history.. After they married they actually became my neighbors in West Hollywood Fl. Rick was such a good friend and sport. We worked on each others cars, and he used to offer to cut my grass when I was away on business for weeks at a time. There aren't many people like Rick left in the world it seems.. I have soooo many old pics of me, Diana, and Rick at the Hollywood Beach swimming and having fun... I am going to miss him a lot, and Diana too. Diana sat next to me in American History class in 1963, and I failed history class and had to go to summer school because she was such a doll, I couldn't get my eyes off her.. After being friends with Rick and his humor and generosity, and later the three of us together at high school it brings back such fond memories of him.. He had a 1955 chevy at school and I rode a motorcycle.. I don't blame Diana for dating him..She didn't care for my cycle.
 He was one good looking guy in school. The girls used to call him the fonze. I called him Frederick to make him mad, but we always remained good friends. I am so happy he had such a loving family that was there for him at the end. I made a copy of one of the prints on the guest book of him holding his baby at the house he lived in near mine... I pray they both Rest in Peace together, and their beautiful children know they both were the  finest people I have ever known.

I met Rick in 1976 when I was in college and got a part-time job with Yellow cab. All the cab drivers were afraid of him because of his gruff personality.  Rick was the King of the garage and all repair roads went through him.  When I started working in the garage, Rick (the boss) took me under his wing and I quickly got to know the real Rick, hard on the outside but soft on the inside.  I was just a young  broke kid, far from home living with my grandmother.  When Rick and Diana moved to Boca, I used to visit them and hang out.  There was nothing that Rick wouldn't do for me.  When my old car broke down on the FL turnpike, Rick was there to tow it and fix it.  He never asked for a penny.  I learned a lot from Rick about work ethic and family, like having his Dad Marty working part-time in the garage.  I went on to graduate from college, become a Ft. Lauderdale cop, and later a federal agent.  I managed to stay in touch for many years, but eventually lost touch.  Rick was a great man and a great friend and one of a small handful of people who had a great influence on my life.   I know his family and friends will miss him forever.

Rick...Hey Shirl - They broke the mold when you were born, no one can ever take your place.  Thank you for being you. You will always be in our hearts. Hugs on Diana, Mum, Dad and Tulla for us.  Until we meet again. Love You Always, Shirlee and John

Great Uncle Rick was full of vigor and humor, I think we'll all remember his larger-than-life self for which everyone loved him so dearly.  In the end, despite being immensely sadden that he's gone, I'm still relieved that he no longer has to suffer in such immense pain.  He will be missed and forever loved.

Rick became my friend the first time I met him. Diana, Rick, Sheila and myself went out to dinner and I was lucky enough to call him my friend ever since. He was the biggest, strongest man I have ever met and the nicest. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you. In over 20 years he fixed my cars and I used to love to go see him at Yellow Cab just to hang out.
 I was so happy when Rick wanted to add on a second story at his house cause it was one of the few times I could do something for him. Everybody knows Rick gave and never ever asked for anything. So every weekend Jimmy, Rick and myself worked on his addition. It was one of the best times in my life, until he knocked me out with his hammer. 
Heather and Dawn you two are the luckiest people alive to be able to call him your dad. They don't come any better, not even close. Also you two had the best Mom in the  world. I know your parents are looking down on you because after all you two young women are also the very best. I'll truly miss him as will anybody that ever had the privilege to know him. And Rick I'm really sorry I couldn't be there for you today. Please save a Bud for me when I see you again. Love always


What a beautiful person! Full of life always. He had a special name for me "Bahama Momma! When I would arrive at my friends house next door to him and he was outside he would run over give me a hug and always asked how I was doing etc. I know he is looking down at all of us with a big smile on his face.  It is so hard to say goodbye. I know he is at peace now.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I call myself one of the luckiest women in the world to have had my brother-in-law in my life for so long.  Rick has to be the most caring, giving, and loving man I have ever met.  He has always been kind and considerate of everyone and I don't know of and haven't ever heard of anyone who ever met Rick who didn't have something wonderful to say about him.  Rick not only took great care of my sister Diana and their children but he took on the rest of our family too.  I'll never forget the care and love he gave to my mother and I'll never forget him coming over to mow the yard and check the air conditioner and he'd walk in a give Mom a hug and say how's 22222.
This is because her birthday was 2/22/1922.  She'd laugh and she loved him like the rest of us.  I thank God every day for the blessing of having Rick in my life.

My brother in law has been in my life as long as I can remember.  He was ALWAYS there for all of us..  We were ALWAYS welcome at their home, and ALWAYS ate very well when there.  He didnt always have a lot to say. But, he never missed a thing. We will miss him much.  But, very happy he's no longer suffering..  GOD BLESS!

Anyone who was lucky enough to know Uncle Rick, loved him. He was the most amazing man, kind, funny, and always there for anyone who needed anything. The world is a sadder place without him but at least we can take comfort knowing that he is not in pain anymore and can spend the rest of eternity with Aunt Di. Love and miss you Uncle Rick!

Uncle Rick was one of the kindest, most amazing men I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will always be in my heart. We will all miss you so much, Uncle Rick.

The world lost a very special person yesterday. If you where lucky enough to know my uncle in anyway then you would know what I'm talking about. You don't meet many people in your life that impact it the way he could, in a world of selfishness and me first attitude my uncle always rose above all that always the first to lend a hand to anyone and everyone . He was always quick to pick you up when your down say something funny to break the tension or give you advise even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear but it came from his heart. If a man is measured by kindness,thoughtfulness nobody stacks up to Rick Puccio. I'm very sadden that he is no longer here but very happy he is at peace you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. Thank you for the impact you had on my life.

The wealth of a man is not measured in dollars and cents, but by the people who love him. Rick was one of the wealthiest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  I can only hope to have the love and respect of my family and friends as much as you did Rick.  Godspeed!
