With deep sorrow and profound grief, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) John Snediker, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a proud United States Marine and officer in the New York Police Department. He passed away on April 3,2025 at the age of 93, surrounded by loved ones.
Bob dedicated his life to service—first to our nation as a Marine, where he served in the Korean Conflict (1948-1952) with courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty. Following his honorable military service, he continued to protect and serve the community as a member of the NYPD Motorcycle 1 division (1954-1977), earning the admiration and gratitude of fellow officers and citizens alike.
Bob will be remembered most of all for his love and devotion to his family, beginning with marrying the love of his life Adele Marie Romano in 1957. Bob was known as the original “Girl Dad” To Kim & Stacie, but also, for his kindness, integrity, and the quiet strength he brought to every role in life—as a protector, a friend, a family man, and a true patriot.
Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife Del and survived by his daughters Kim (Bernie) Noland and Stacie (Dominic) Durr, his Grandchildren Blair, Jade and Brett and his Great Grandchildren Calleigh, Bryce, Kilian, Londyn and Maverick who loved him so very much and take comfort in knowing that his unconditional love will live on through his children.
A funeral service will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, in remembrance of a life lived in faithful service to others.
Semper Fi. End of Watch. We will never forget.
