Rocco Patrick Lospinuso, of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Woodhaven, Queens, New York, passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 94. Rocco is a World War II veteran and served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps as a Pharmacist Mate, Second Class with the 2nd Battalion, 29th Regiment, 6th Marine Division (China Marines). He fought with the Marines in the Battle of Okinawa and was stationed in China. Rocco was awarded a Bronze Star for his courage in the battle of Okinawa, and a Purple Heart for the injuries he sustained during this battle. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Beverly Lospinuso, his children Michael and Kathy and his grandchildren, Kayla and Christopher. His viewing will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, Fl from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Interment will be at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, 6501 S State Road 7, Lake Worth, Fl on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 9:30 am.
