Rocco Thomas Morea

He was born in Manhattan, New York and was the son of the Edna Walbert and Rocco George Morea. He grew up surrounded by loving grandparents, uncles, aunts, and many cousins. He was a devoted and beloved husband to Patricia Morea and they were blessed to share 51 years of marriage and 56 years of being best friends. Tommy was a loving father to Nancy Morea Boulahanis and grandfather to Christopher and Sophia Boulahanis. He is also survived by his sister Cathi Ouimet and nephew Chris Ouimet, and great nephew Jordan Ouimet.

Tommy moved from New York to Florida when he was just 9 years old. By the time he was 16, he was learning the construction industry working with his Uncles Henry and Jimmy. Later, he went on to own his own construction company hiring Tony Salorio when he was also just 16 years old. Not knowing that relationship would last a lifetime, Tony started his own company Vortex Construction where Tommy was a Foreman for over 18 years.

Tommy loved race cars, bowling, and poker. Most of his early weekends were spent at Hollywood Speedway and if he was not racing, he was at the bowling alley or playing poker with family and friends. Another hobby of his was traveling around the country visiting different casinos in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, the Pocono’s and Foxwood in Connecticut.

He enjoyed having football Sundays with his family and friends, rooting for his favorite team

the Green Bay Packers. If the Packers didn’t win, he would be cheering for Notre Dame or the New York Yankees.

Courageous, warm, compassionate, kind, supportive, generous, humbled and father figure defined Tommy. He was loved by all his family and friends for his kind heart and his gentle demeanor and he will be cherished in their memories. Tommy will be missed by all who knew him.

His Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428 on Saturday, February 13th from 3 - 5 pm.
