

Tom was born to parents Thomas and Eva Hutchinson, on February 2, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He was predeceased by his sister, Laurel, August 21, 1994. He served in the Army during the Korean war. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Nova University in Davie, Florida in 1982. His main career was at Motorola, starting at the plant in Augusta, Illinois. Then, he moved his family to Sunrise, Florida in 1970 where he continued his Motorola career until he retired in 1996, for a total of 35 plus years of service.
Tom married Marla Inglesby in 1953, (he was predeceased by her in 1985). He is survived by daughters Sue Hutchinson and Kathy Hutchinson Shuman (husband Ed). Tom was predeceased by his son, Tom Hutchinson (survived by Laurena), and is survived by his grandchildren; Tommy (Alex), Danielle (Andy), Rachel (Joel), Megan (Jonathan), and Ryan (Maya), as well as six great grandchildren; Ainsley, Axel, Armor, Anker, Avenley, and Henley. Tom was predeceased by nephews Ray and Mike, and is survived by nephews Dan and Brian and nieces Marianne, Monica, and Jane.
In 1998, Tom Married Janet Stone Klink (who survives him) and they started a blended family. Tom is survived by stepchildren Bill Reed (wife Lisa), Donna Rucker (husband Bruce), Debbie Vita (husband Larry), and Kim McCune (husband Mike), along with eight grandchildren; Jennifer (Carlos), Billy (Janet), David (Anna), Josh (Alesha), Brandon (Angie), Blake, Michala (Matt), and Tayler, as well as thirteen great grandchildren; Chloe, Kayleigh, Alexis, Aubrey, Joshy, Katie, Sarah, Emily, Maggie, Ava, Gavin, Aubree, and Brynlee.
Tom was known for his love of baseball. Starting as a child, he played first in neighborhood sandlots, then little leagues, and later managed and coached his son’s little league teams. Tom continued to play baseball/softball in various intramural and Senior leagues until just about two years ago. He was extremely overjoyed when he got to watch the Chicago Cubs win the World Series in 2016! Tom enjoyed being a member of the Knights of Columbus where he joined his friends for Poker games. He regularly played poker with his Motorola buddies as well. In addition to Tom’s intramural tennis playing at Motorola, he was very active in the tennis community both in Boca Raton and in Boone, playing both singles and doubles, until very near the end of his life.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida, with a burial to follow in Hollywood, Florida. The family requests the presence of immediate family members only.
