Please accept my most sincere condolences to those who knew and loved "Wally" as I do.  He was a wonderfully beautiful person that, in my history, will remain as a significant facet of my being.  He was my mentor, my colleague, and my friend.  His memory will live on as long as I do, at least!

Walt talked about his daughter. He said she wanted to do a job that not allot of girls do. He was proud of her. Plus he was always the professional. Other than Frank. Walt made me feel welcome at BRARA but since he got demoted I did not think it was wise to continue my involvement. Nevertheless, Walt still periodically send me invites back to the club. It's not the same with them gone. I hope all who miss Walt be comforted by Jesus Christ.

Our hearts are broken of hearing of Walt’s untimely demise and sincerely sorry we were unaware of his memorial service. Walt worked at the phone company for many years and had become close with his workers. Some who remained close until the end. Walt will be missed by all of these men and especially me, Jerry frage. My prayers to the family.

We are terribly sorry to hear of Walt’s passing.  He was a wonderful man and my husband Rick worked with him for many years.  He always had a kind word to say and we shared many a laugh.  We will miss your great smile Walt!!

Walt was one of the first people I had the pleasure of meeting when I joined the Boca Club. He was incredibly  generous with his time, his knowledge and his vast resources. I learned a lot from Walt and his not being there is a profound personal loss for me as well as the club as a whole. I will miss the red hat and the flannel shirts!

Walt was a great guy, lots of memories with the Bell System.

Walt, W4WCD, was a long-time member of the Boca Raton Amateur Radio Association and a good friend.  I met Walt when I first joined the club about a dozen years ago.  He always had a big smile and bragged about his grandsons' fishing exploits along with showing pictures of the recent catches on his cellphone.  Walt will be dearly missed by me as well as the rest of the BRARA membership.

I met Walt at the Boca Raton Amateur Radio Club many years ago. 
Together, with Walt leading the way, we built the SteppIR antenna that the club still uses today. I struggled to follow the instructions. Walt just seemed to know what to do. I asked him if he had spent time with the instructions. He said "not really." And so it went as Walt led the way, obtaining the lease from the Park,  directing the installation of electrical cables, electrical panel, perimeter grounding, and runs of coaxial cable for our antennas. The club shack, and quite probably BRARA would not exist if not for Walt's contributions. They are too many to list. 

This is how I came to know and admire WA2VNV. I can still picture him sitting in front of the club  radio with a large smile explaining the DX he had worked that morning. He was an important person in my life. I will always treasure his friendship. 

I live now in the Hudson Valley in New York, so I will be unable to attend his service. I offer my condolences to his family for the loss of this special man.
