Mr. Andrew Taft Lewis, Jr, age 88 of Bolivia, went to be with the Lord on December 20,2020. He was a military veteran, serving during WWII in the United States Coast Guard. Andrew was a hard working gentleman that loved his family. As a teenager, he worked along side his father on their farm raising tobacco and vegetables. He later worked at several of the local ports as a longshoreman. He loved cattle and enjoyed raising them on his own farm. Andrew was a member of several organizations throughout his life. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew T. and Lucy Garner Lewis; wife, Joyce Lewis; daughter, Sylvia Gore; sister, Gertrude L. Williams; brother, Elmer Lewis; nephew, Mike Williams. Survivors include daughter, Catherine Wall; sister, Kitty Batcheor; special niece and caregiver, Linda Maria Williams and Chris Linker; nieces, Brenda Borowski, Retha Lee Chestnut, Edna Lewis, Audrey Lewis, Gloria Batchelor, Lynn Yelton and Ann Batchelor; nephews, Danny Lewis, Ken Batchelor; special great, great niece, Emma; special great, great nephews, Martin (aka "burr-rabbit") and Andrew; host of extended family and many special friends. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 18, 2020 at one o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service - Bolivia Chapel. Burial will follow at the homeplace of Mr. Lewis.
