

quietly at her daughter and son-in-laws' home Tuesday October 29 after a lengthy illness. She was 89.
Carol was born in Wilmington, N.C. on May 24, 1935 to the late Harry and Florence Skipper. She was
a graduate of New Hanover High School and Miller-Motte Business College. Carol was a long-time
member of Town Creek Baptist Church in Winnabow, N.C.
The devoted mother of three children, sons Dale of Pensacola, FL. and Greg of Morganton, GA and
daughter Lisa King (Tim) of Winnabow, she will also be lovingly remembered by her two
grandchildren Justin and Brandi, her six great grandchildren Shayla and Dylan, Gabrielle and Joshua, Emma, David, Ember and Rhaelynne, three great great grandchildren Colt, Kaylani and Naamir. She is also survived by a sister, Polly Black of Leland, NC.
Carol is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, the late Reverend V.C. Potter, Jr., also of Leland and
a brother, Philip Skipper of Orange, VA.
Arrangements are by White Funeral and Cremation of Shallotte, N.C. Services are private. Please make
contributions in her memory to the charity of your choice or Lower Cape Fear Hospice,
TCB Church.
Mom; you're gone from our lives but not from our hearts. We will always remember the many, many
ways in which you gave to us and the tremendous love and patience you showed, even though we may
not always have deserved either. We will always feel that you are watching over us and all those you
love. Rest in peace.
