Charles "Chuck" Hamilton

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Linwood Hamilton, age 85, of Supply NC, died August 18, 2016, in Autumn Care Nursing Home of Shallotte.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Whiteville, NC, and was the son of the late Rembert Charles and Carrie Hamilton. He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a 32nd Degree Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite, a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a B.S. Degree, and a real-estate broker in North Carolina. He retired from the Office of the Secretary of Defense after 30 years’ service, and was an Air Force Veteran for 12 years which included serving in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Frances C. Hamilton of 34 years, two daughters, Vicki Smith and husband Jim of Elk Grove, California and Kaylene Paulson and husband Eric of Lacey, Washington; a grandson, Ryan Paulson and will be remembered fondly by his numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Chuck loved the Lord and was a righteous person. He blessed so many with his wonderful smile and was a devoted father and husband. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Autumn Care of Shallotte Nursing Home in North Carolina, who attentively cared for Chuck.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sharon United Methodist Church and funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm.

Although flowers are appreciated, the family suggests donating to the Sharon United Methodist Church (SUMC) Attn: Sylvia Ludlum Scholarship Fund, 2030 Holden Beach Road, SW, Supply, NC 28462 in the memory of Charles Hamilton.
