Chester Eugene O'Leary

.Chester E. O’Leary, age 87 of Carolina Shores, NC passed away peacefully Saturday November 5, 2011. Chet was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Signal Corp during WWII in Saipan and Iwo Jima. He was a 1951 graduate of Washington University, School of Fine Arts in St.Louis, MO. He was an Advertising Manager for GE and an avid tennis player.

Mr. O’Leary was preceded in death by his parents, Nelle Shields O’Leary and Paul A. O’Leary; One sister: Helen Hopton and One brother: Thomas O’leary.

Chet is survived by his wife of 49 years Patricia Hassett O’Leary; one daughter: Elizabeth M. Brooks and husband James with their two children, Kaitlyn and J.D. Brooks all of Clarence, NY; one son: Michael O’Leary and wife Beth with their three children, Michael, Ryan and Libby O’Leary all of Cary, NC; one sister: Dorothy Brenner of St. Louis, MO. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life Mass will take place at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Immediately following, Inurnment will take place in Prayer Garden.
