

Bud was born in Huntington, WV on the seventeenth of August, 1928 to the late Percy Dean and Hazel Bird Shuff. Soon after high school he married the love of his life Margaret Lou Hendrick Shuff and began a career mechanical engineering in the Ophthalmology industry. He was also a US Marine Corps veteran. He was a longtime member of Cox Landing United Methodist Church and most recently attended Zion United Methodist Church of Leland, NC. He had worked for Houdaille Industries and retired from Intra Optics. His hobbies included being a master carpenter, building furniture and houses. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Auburn Shuff, Ray Shuff, Kenneth Shuff; a grandson, Tracy Ryder and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Shuff.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-nine years Margaret Shuff; two sons, David Shuff and wife Anita of Conway, SC, Gregory Shuff of Buffalo, WV; two daughters, Sharon Washington and husband Steve of Leland, NC, Paula Shuff and special friend, Ronnie Mansfield of Huntington, WV; ten grandchildren, Christopher Adams (Annette), Douglas Adams (Shellie), Amy Burgess (Damon), Stacy Carson (Steve), Tammy Allen (Danny), Tim Shuff (Terri), Christina Smith (John), Jamie Shuff (Natalie), Briar Shuff, Ashley Shuff; eighteen great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon of Saturday, the twenty-sixth of November, 2016 at two o'clock at the Cox Landing United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Herrenkohl Cemetery, Lesage, WV.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that monetary contributions be made in his name to the Cox Landing United Methodist Church, 5995 Big Seven Mile Rd., Lesage, WV 25537.
