Donald Carlston McKeithan Sr.

Donald was born September 13, 1964, son of Donald Bibb McKeithan and Patricia Griffin Sandifer in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was a 1982 graduate of Laney High School and attended Brunswick Community College. Donald’s proudest accomplishment was DAD. He was extremely proud of his children and whom they have become. He was known for his quick wit and ability to brighten your day. Donald worked as a Building Contractor for 26 years in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties as well as Building Inspector in Columbia County, Georgia. He had a lifelong love of sports and played basketball and baseball in New Hanover County where he competed against NBA player Michael Jordan. He was an avid golfer and loved to surf. Donald coached Dixie Youth Baseball, and served as President of Lockwood Folly Dixie Youth Baseball League as well as a Board Member of Brunswick County Parks and Recreation. He enjoyed a good political debate and believed in the Republican Party. Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents, Guy Carlston and Katie May McKeithan and Drew “JD” and Lois D. Griffin and stepfather David Sandifer.

Leaving to cherish his memory, are his parents, Donald Bibb McKeithan (Carlene) and Patricia Griffin Sandifer; children, Donald Carlston McKeithan, Jr. and Cierra Marie McKeithan; siblings, Victoria Brown (Scott), Michael McKeithan (Dee Ann), Katherine McKeithan, and Gordon Nash (Jenn); several nieces and nephews, Michael Ryan, Mackenzie, Meghan, and Mitch McKeithan; and great nephews, Gavyn and Harper McKeithan; and extended family.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening on Monday, August 15th at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway, Supply.
