Born in Germany on the twenty eighth of March, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Erwin Gottlob Ruf and Hildegard Stanecker Ruf. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Linkous was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Linkous.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rufus Linkous of the home; two sons, Patrick Linkous of Hampton, VA, Andrew Linkous of Leland, NC; a sister, Sieglinde Werz of Germany; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be private.
