Howard Dale Barnes

Dale was born on December 16th, 1952 to Howard Ray Barnes and Sadie Mae Johnson of Robeson County, NC.

Dale had many jobs in his life time, but held a career working on nuclear power plant shutdowns throughout the country. In 1974, Dale met Donna Lynn Brisson, his loving wife of 50 years, in Lumberton, NC. Together they went on to have 3 children, Bobby, Mannun, and Jacob Barnes.

Dale enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, traveling, and being with family and friends. He also had a passion for cooking; you’d never go hungry around the Barnes household with Dale at the grill. He was the life of the party with his quick-witted sense of humor.

Dale was predeceased by brothers Randy, Jerry Barnes and parents Howard and Sadie Barnes Dale is

survived by wife Donna Barnes, sons Bobby and wife Beth Barnes of Supply NC, Mannun and wife Suzanne Barnes of Supply NC, Jacob and his wife Sarah Barnes of Etowah NC, his brothers Timmy and Rusty Barnes, his 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren .

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick - Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, who’s dedicated staff took great care of Dale in his time of need.
