He was born April 24, 1935 in New Hanover County to the late Willie and Mae Atkinson Moore. Jerry was a United States Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marty M. Moore; two brothers, Bruce and William Moore.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Wendy Moore Bowen; sisters, Julie Moore, Eva Mae Willetts, and Patty Thorton; brothers, Reggie Moore, Robert Moore and Thurman Moore; 2 grandchildren, Derek and Sandi Moore; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Robbins Cemetery in Winnabow, NC.
