John Joseph Thomas

Mr. Thomas was born in Rochester, NY on July 20, 1961 and was son of the late John Joseph Thomas and Rosemary Laconcellera Thomas. Mr. Thomas owned and operated John Thomas Enterprises and was a builder of custom homes and an entrepreneur. He was a connoisseur of fine cigars and an advocate for all animals. He had a passion for helping others especially those in need.

He is survived by his wife, Sonya Brown Thomas; children, J.T. Thomas of Shallotte, Zachary Potter of Supply, Jessi Potter of Shallotte; the following people were very special to him, Amanda Flowers, James Watson and Beth McDaniel; and most specially his fur children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at seven o’clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital at stjude.org.
