

Mr. Reynolds was born in New Hanover County on April 24, 1940 and was the son of the late Kellum O. Reynolds, Sr. and Catherine Malpass Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a retired truck driver. He loved gardening and working in his yard that he took much pride in. He also enjoyed fishing. He was a charter member and former Chief of the Bolivia Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Reynolds had a very strong work ethic that he shared with his children. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bolivia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Sellers and her husband Gary, a daughter in-law, GoSoom Reynolds, his siblings, Ernie Reynolds, Robert Earl Reynolds, Mack Reynolds and Catherine “Jinks” Koltuniak.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Hewett Reynolds of the home; a son, Kellum Gerald Reynolds of Saginaw, Texas; a daughter, JoAnn Reynolds and husband Brian of Bolivia; grandchildren, Adam Reynolds, Jennifer Lockwood (Daniel), Joshua Howard, Jacob Gentry (Natasha), Amanda Richardson (Justin), Jacob Raleigh (Haley) and Emilie Raleigh (Sean); great grandchildren, Trent, Elliana, Bryson, Able, Liam, Kathrine (Christopher), Slade, Jaylyn, Walker, Kaleigh, Bristol, Weston, Trenton, Ansel and Siah; a great great grandchild, Reid.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 6, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel with Reverend Brian Raleigh and Reverend Clayton Rivenbark officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
