Margaret Dale Fields Skipper

Born in Bladen County on October 8, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Mable Gause Fields and Roland Lee Fields.

She was a loving mother of Angie Skipper and Wayne Skipper; the best Nana to Seyda Barrett, Ellie Barrett, Kaya Skipper, Cassidy Bigler and Wyatt Bigler; a caring sister to her siblings, sister Gail Brittian and brother Lloyd Fields. She was preceded in death by brothers Jimmy Fields, Johnny Fields and Livingston Fields.

She was a Christian woman all of her life and meant the world to her family and friends . She was a strong and fearless woman. She loved gardening, birdwatching, crocheting, spoiling her grandchildren and all animals especially her loyal dog, Molly, who never left her side. She will be missed by many. She retired from Duke Energy after over 30 years of dedicated service.

Our family extends our sincerest gratitude to Wayne’s spouse, Nakia Wilkins, who cared for her in their home throughout her final days.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in the White Funeral Home, Bolivia Chapel, 603 Ocean Highway East, Bolivia, NC 28422. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
