Mr. Sullivan was born in Brunswick County on July 31, 1933 and was the son of the late William David and Annie Mintz Sullivan. He was a retired construction worker.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie Long Sullivan, of the home; three children, R. T. "Tommy" Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Evelyn, of Bolivia, Joan Sullivan of Leland, Gerald Wayne Sullivan of Leland; two grandchildren, Stephen Skipper and wife, Valerie, Tina Hall; four great-grandchildren, Zoe Parks and husband, Joshua, Zack Hall, Kaitlyn Skipper, Nicholas Chambers; a great-great-grandchild, Joshua Parks, Jr.; two brothers, Sidney Lee Sullivan of Wilmington, David Wayne Sullivan of Sunset Harbor; four sisters, Margaret Raynor and Patsy Ferguson of Wilmington, Linda Rabon of Winnabow, Ann Eddins of Leland.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening at White Funeral & Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel, 603 Ocean Hwy E, Bolivia.
The funeral service will be private.
