William Ned Dowell Jr.

Mr. Dowell was born September 30, 1940 in Forsyth County, NC and was the son of the late William Ned Dowell Sr. and Annie Lee Brown Dowell.He was preceded in death by his wife, Celeste Dowell. Mr. Dowell worked at the movie studios in Wilmington of many years and most recently as manager of the Tire, Lube Express Department of Wal-Mart in Leland. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Wilmington.

He is survived by his step-children, D.J. Hester and wife Amy of Winnabow, Cindy Googe of New Port, NC and Kimberly Kinser and husband Craig of PA.; a very dear friend, Deborah Williams of Leland; a brother, Buddy Momford of Winston-Salem; two cousins, Norma Bunn and Susie Jackson of Hickory; six step-grandchildren, Jarrad, Brittany, Crystal, William, Tyler and Mackenzie and four step-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday November 12, 2022 at one o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service Bolivia Chapel with Jerry Higdon officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
