Alicia Empeno, 90, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Chula Vista, California.

Born on June 13, 1935, in Masinloc, Zambales, she was the daughter of Felixberto Eduvane and Agatonica Edusada. Alicia graduated from V. Mapa High School and later earned a degree in Midwifery. She dedicated approximately 20 years to her profession, including a significant period working as a nurse and midwife in Germany.

After returning from Germany, Alicia embraced life as a full-time housewife with the same care and commitment she brought to her medical career. Her home was a place of warmth where she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and expressing her creativity through knitting and crocheting.

A devout Catholic throughout her life, Alicia drew strength from her faith.

She was a devoted mother to Antonio (deceased), Lyra, and Alfhred; and a supportive grandmother to Christian, Carlos, Christoper, Catherine, Kael, Ysabela, Alyanna, and Aliyah. She is also fondly remembered by her son-in-law Charles; daughters-in-law Imelda and Marie and granddaughter-in-law Antoinette; and many friends she made later in life at her adult day care center. She looked forward to going to Horizon Day Care as this gave her the precious moments to be with her cherished friends.

Alicia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wilfredo Empeno; her son Antonio; and her parents Felixberto Eduvane and Agatonica Edusada.
