Angelina Sablaon Alvela

Angelina Sablaon Alvela was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Bacolod, Philippines. She was brought in this world by Delfin Sablaon and Josefa Tipino along with Nena. Ernesto, Felix and Purita. In May 1964, she married Vicente Baylon Alvela at San Roque Catholic Church in Cabrera, Philippines.

They were blessed with four beautiful children: Alfredo, Celina, Josephus and Teresa. She took on the task of raising their kids full time while her husband worked to provide for the family. In 1990, Angelina and Vicente moved to the U.S. with the help of there son Alfredo and Daughter in law Susan. She lived in San Diego with her daughter Celina. She loved spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids. She also loved playing Mah Jong with her friends. Her kind and caring nature touched many hearts.

Despite losing the love of her life in July 2014, she was able to live her life to the fullest with the help of her love ones. In the morning of Jun 5. 2021, she suffered a stroke which eventually was the cause of her demise. Finally, in Jun 14, 2021, she gained her wings surrounded by loved ones. She will live in our hearts and memories forever. Gone but never forgotten.

She is survived by her sons; Alfredo Alvela and Josephus Alvela, Daughters; Celina Alvela and Teresa Santos.

Nine Grand children; Joseph C. Alvela, Joseph P. Alvela. Michael Alvela, Audrey L. Alvela, Alfredo Alvela Jr., Antionnette Alvela, Amber Alvela, Jennalyn M. Alvela and Rovin J. Santos.

Ten Great Grand Children; Jazlyn Sphabmixay, Kayla J. Sphabmixay, Vincent D. Alvela, Joseph D. Alvela, Ana L. Alvela, Jayan T. Alvela, Janella T. Alvela, Lucas I. Ceballos, Oliver Q. Ceballos, Rita I. Bahena, and Angelina A. Bahena.
