

Anna Alanis, beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 67. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Anna was born on October 24, 1956, to Mitchell Ybarra and Edwina Ybarra in San Diego, California.
She was the cherished mother of Rudy, Abel, Paul, and a second mother to Erica. Anna's devotion to her children was unwavering and knew no bounds. Her role as a mother extended beyond just raising her children; she taught them the values of strength, compassion, and resilience that will continue to guide them through life's journey. She took great pride in watching them grow into the remarkable men they are today.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Ybarra. Anna is survived by her beloved mother, Edwina Ybarra, who provided her with love and support throughout her life. She is also survived by her siblings: Mitchell Ybarra, Adam Ybarra, and Priscilla Wright. Anna shared a special bond with her siblings, and their memories together will be cherished forever.
Anna's legacy extends through her grandchildren: Ashley, Alexander, Andrew, Emily, Cameron, and Tiana, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Blakely, whom she adored.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anna's life at a funeral service scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, Chula Vista, CA. Followed by a reception. Anna's memory will be honored with love, laughter, and fond remembrance.
Anna will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Anna's legacy as a loving grandmother, devoted mother, and supportive sister will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
