

Armando P. Canta was born on February 18, 1965 in Southern Leyte, Philippines. He was the son of Conrado Canta and Norma Piramide and was raised by his grandparents, Conrado and Adela Canta. Armando spent his youth in Southern Leyte, Philippines.
Growing up, Armando knew of the importance of education. He studied and worked very hard during his college years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Accounting from Urios College in 1985.
On January 27, 1997 Armando exchanged wedding vows with his sweetheart Carina V. Valencia in Makati City, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Armando was committed to making his new family happy.
Armando worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Armando was blessed with two children, son, Dareen Philip Canta and daughter, Chara Canta.
Fortunately, Armando enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Armando worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was working for the electrical industry. He was employed for 10 years by an electric company in Batuan City, Philippines.
Armando accomplished much throughout his lifetime. As a husband, he provided for his family in all aspects. In spite of his illness, Armando remained a faithful, loving, and dedicated husband and continued to be the strong foundation for his family.
As a father, Armando led by example. He provided an environment for his one and only son conductive in raising a respectable young man that stands before us now. He was very active in every aspect of Dareen's life, from sporting events, school activities, hobbies, you name it he was involved. More importantly, he was Dareen's guiding light and moral compass.
As a brother, uncle, and friend, Armando personified what being in a family is all about. His presence always resonated happiness. He never turned his back on a family member. In fact, he never hesitated to assist anybody in need, no matter what the circumstances were.
Sadly, Armando passed away on September 15, 2010 at Sharp Hospital in Chula Vista, California. He is survived by his wife, Carina Valencia Canta; son, Dareen Philip V. Canta; and many other family and friends. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on September 21, 2010. Armando was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Armando was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Armando leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Armando P. Canta.
