

Blanche Elizabeth Barlow, 94, passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter on September 15, 2025. She was born in Geneva, Nebraska to Dr. Harold Rosenau and Blanche Butler Rosenau on November 21, 1930. Beth had an idyllic childhood growing up in her hometown. She and her brothers, Ron and Harold had many adventures with their extended family and the Geneva neighborhood gang. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1949 and tied for salutatorian of her class. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln Nebraska in 1954 with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Home Economics and English. Her brother Harold graduated the same year and started Dental School that fall. He had a new roommate from Wyoming and mom quickly fell in love with her eternal sweetheart, Doil Earl Barlow. They were married in Geneva for time on August 26, 1956, and later sealed for all eternity on September 6, 1958, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
This beautiful union was blessed with five children: Nancy Ruth Brown (David), Scott Earl (deceased), Paul Eugene (Cindy), Bruce Elliott (Carol) and Kate Elizabeth Bateman (Travis). It was further blessed with 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Beth was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 1957, by her husband. Her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was something she held very dear and served in many capacities all over the country as the family moved for Doil’s work in the US Navy. She was an example of a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Funeral Services will be Friday, October 3, 2025, with viewing from 10-10:45 am and a memorial starting at 11 am.
