

Benjamin T. Enriquez Jr. was born on May 30, 1955 in Manila, Philippines. He was the son of Benjamin B. Enriquez Sr. and Juliana T. Enriquez. Benjamin was raised in Manila with three sisters, Carmelita Tan, Patty Concepcion and Angie Tan.
Benjamin attended school in the Philippines and graduated from the University of Manila in 1972 and later earned his Bachelors degree from the University of the East in 1976.
On August 5, 1979 Benjamin exchanged wedding vows with his sweetheart Carolina Yap Roque in Manila, Philippines. They shared many loving and happy years of marriage.
Benjamin and Carolina were blessed with three children, one son, Benjamin Enriquez III, and two daughters, Melanie Enriquez and Merielle Enriquez- Banks. Benjamin worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs.
In 1979, Benjamin enlisted in The United States Navy where he saw action in the Persian Gulf War. Through his hard work and dedication, he achieved the final rank of Chief Petty Officer. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Saudi Arabian Medal for the Liberation of Kuwait, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Southwest Asia Service Medal.
Later in life, Benjamin worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his new career of electrical engineering. He was employed for 15 years by Qualcomm and earned the title of Sr. Staff Engineer.
Sadly, Benjamin passed away on February 23, 2011 at UCSD Thorton Hospital in La Jolla, California due to complications with chemotherapy for the treatment of osteosarcoma. He is survived by his wife Carolina Enriquez; children Benjamin Enriquez III, Melanie Enriquez and Merielle Enriquez- Banks; sisters Patricia Concepcion and Angie Tan; as well as many other relatives and friends. Services were held at the Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on March 5, 2011. Benjamin was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
