Betty was born on February 20, 1946 in Martinsburg, West Virginia; daughter of Joe and Evelyn Morrow. She was raised for most of her life in San Diego; but being a “Navy brat” she moved around in her younger years to Alaska, Hawaii, and Virginia. At the age of 7 she became a big sister to Pam. She attended high school at Castle Park High and graduated in 1964.
After high school Betty completed cosmetology school. Shortly after, she married and gave birth to her wonderful children.
In 1988 Betty met Roy while working at Rohr Ind. They started as friends but it turned into something much more. They had shared 17 great years together before they finally decided to get married on January 21, 2006.
In 1988 Betty became a grandmother to her first grandson, Ariel. From that time on she was known as “Kittyma”. Through the years her family continued to grow. Today she has 7 wonderful grandchildren: Ariel 22, Alyssa 21, Catarina 16, Marissa 14, Aaron 11, Amanda 9, and Alona 8.
Betty loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed doing crafts, planning events and parties, decorating, gardening, cooking, and of course shopping. Betty loved the holidays and would never forget a birthday. She loved to travel. She would pack up the car with goodies and grandkids and take off on a summer day road trip. Betty would like to take the kids to the beach, Hollywood, the zoo, museums, and many other places; building memories that her grandchildren will keep in their hearts forever. Along with all those trips Betty also enjoyed many romantic vacations with Roy, going to Hawaii, Paris, cruises, and many other quick mini vacations.
Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband Roy, her sister Pam, her two daughters Marliss (Missy) and Jennifer, 7 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, Pebbles and Bam Bam.
