Candelaria came to the United States in June 1983. She lived and worked in Florida, San Francisco, Vallejo, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Candelaria was a loving and caring friend, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law. She cared for many people, and considered many as family, even those that were not her blood. She loved cooking, gardening, singing and whistling several of her favorite songs, especially while doing chores around the house. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially strays living on the street. She would rescue, house, and care for many cats and dogs that she found on the streets; her love for animals was passed on to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Candelaria is survived by her children: Carolina, Rolando, Josefina, Rosemarie, Bella and daughter-in-law Roslyn; her grandchildren: Katherine, Jay, Paola, Glenn Paul, Monica, Barry Sr., Celine, Jerez; great grandchildren: Jada, Barry Jr., Kahlen, Lincoln, and Saen; nieces: Marita, Nimfa, and Edna; her beloved rescue dogs: Tootsie Roll, Jelly Beans, Chokie, and Ruby.
Candelaria is and will always be loved and her presence is greatly missed. The memory of her beautiful life remains in the hearts of her family and friends.
