

Cecilia Sian Perez was born on March 29, 1951 in Manila, Philippines to Montano Sian Sr. and Cirila Sian. She was the second of five siblings and was always an outgoing individual. She was a social butterfly in her youth and enjoyed the company of others. She graduated high school from Ramon Magsaysay in 1968 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Finance from the University of Santo Thomas in 1972. During these years, she met the man who would become her beloved husband, Rodrigo Errazo Perez. They were later married on March 11, 1976 in Manila, Philippines. Together, they had one daughter, Hannah. In 1987, the family relocated to San Diego, California. Cecilia started working at Unocal 76 for eight years and following better opportunity, in 1995, began a career of over 20 years at the San Diego International Airport. Cecilia’s dedication in the workplace would allow her to retire as a supervisor in 2016.
Throughout her life, Cecilia is remembered for her love of family and friends, devotion to her husband and unparallel work ethic. She was famous for her hospitality, generosity and selfless nature.
Cecilia appreciated certain things in life, including cooking and baking. Her love for food and hospitable nature was expressed though many hours laboring in the kitchen for family, friends and guests. She was known for her delicious Filipino dishes and pecan tarts.
Cecilia had always kept up with the latest fashion trends and enjoyed shopping, whether it was at a mall or more recently, online. She especially treasured her purses and jewelry and had accumulated a handsome collection throughout the years. Family vacations became an annual part of Cecilia’s years and had allowed her to visit various destinations including the Bahamas, Puerto Vallarta, Hawaii, Disney World, Cabo San Lucas and Canada.
Cecilia had also spent her time enjoying her Filipino TV shows, tabloid magazines and keeping up to date with family and friends through Facebook.
Cecilia had an undeniable fighting spirit and had taken on cancer in the last nine years o f her life. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rodrigo, daughter Hannah, son-in-law John, grandchildren Rayleene, Leilanie, Jonathan and Tristan, brothers Antonio, Nortberto and Montano, and sister Maria Consuelo. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
