Daniel C. Neno' Don December 9, 1935 - March 28, 2016 La Mesa Danny Don, 80, husband of Gloria Don, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home. He was born and raised in Old Town San Diego into a large extended family. He will be remembered as a loving, hard-working husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa who loved God, his family, friends, and country. Danny enjoyed family gatherings, backyard BBQs, camping, and most of all, working in his yard. He retired in 2000 after working 45 years in the window and glass industry. In 1977 he started his own family business, D&G Window, hiring numerous family members over the years.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria Don; daughters Viv & husband Mike Philips, Vera Ramirez, and Kathy and husband Mike Kimball, son Rick and wife Karla Nunez, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He was loved, admired, and respected by everyone who knew him. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 8th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Old Town, 2540 San Diego Ave., San Diego, CA 92110. Interment will be held immediately after at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA 91902.
