Danny L. Street passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017 surrounded by family. Danny was born on August 5, 1934, in Delta, CO. He is survived by his wife, Ann Street, three children Debi (Jim) White, Dan (Kathy) Street, and David (Lisbet) Street, his six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Ruth L Street. In 1953 he graduated from San Diego High School and began his career with the U.S. Forestry & Fire. In 1961 Danny left the U.S. Forestry & Fire and began his career in auto dismantling working for his dad.
In 1964 he opened West Auto Wreckers in Chula Vista where he owned and operated the business along-side his family for 53 years. Danny loved to travel the U.S. in his RV and was an avid golfer belonging to the Singing Hills Golf Club. He was a member of the Chula Vista Lions and Elk lodges, and an avid supporter of the Boys and Girls club.
Danny will be missed but never forgotten. Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7th, at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Abbey in Bonita, CA.
