Surrounded by loved ones in her Eastlake home, Imee passed peacefully, leaving behind the warmth of her radiant spirit, open heart, and unwavering zest for life.
A proud graduate of Cavite National High School (1970), Imee devoted herself to the care of others. Her career began at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, CA, where she worked as a nurse’s aide for over a decade. She later served for more than 40 years as a Medical Unit Secretary at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where her smile became a familiar comfort to countless families in the NICU and 4 East.
Imee brought the same drive and heart to real estate and insurance, embracing new challenges with purpose and resilience. Her work was never just a job—it was a calling rooted in kindness.
Known for her generosity, joyful laugh, and ever-present optimism, Imee carried faith as her foundation and made every gathering feel like home. Her house was a haven of comfort and love for everyone—filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness. The kitchen, especially, was her sanctuary, where love simmered in every dish and memories were made around every meal. Her thoughtful gifts made birthdays and holidays extra special, each one a token of her affection. She saw beauty in everyday moments and shared joy in the quiet gestures that made people feel truly cared for.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ming; son, Ranier; daughter, Rachel; daughter-in-law, Pam; granddaughter, Rowena Joy (RJ); and siblings Christy, Danny, Cesar, Ami, Oca, Bobby, and Anselmo Jr. She joins her parents, Anselmo and Aurea Monton, as well as her siblings Eduardo and Violeta, in eternal rest.
To those who knew her, Imee was a source of comfort and inspiration—a devoted mother, sister, and friend whose compassion touched countless lives.
Funeral services will be held in Bonita, California to honor Imee’s extraordinary life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Imee lived with grace, served with heart, and loved without limits. Though her earthly journey has ended, her light continues to shine in the lives she lifted, the smiles she sparked, and the love she gave so freely.
