With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Jaime Sales Tolentino, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on March 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 15, 1949, in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Jaime lived a life full of hard work, love, and devotion to his family and community.
Jaime was Evelyn's cherished husband for 53 beautiful years. Together, they built a loving family, raising their four children—Jennifer, Joann, Joyce, and Jayson—who were his pride and joy. He was also a devoted father to James and Analisa, whose presence enriched his life even further. As an adoring grandfather, Jaime cherished his eight grandchildren: Justine, James, Ainsley, Jeremiah, Ethan, Chloe, Hailey, and Jeffrey.
Jaime wore many hats throughout his life, each reflecting his tireless spirit and dedication to providing for his family. In the Philippines, he worked as the trusted bodyguard of a former Makati mayor, a supervisor of Manila's street sweepers, and a taxi cab driver. Jaime worked in Japan for 12 years, ensuring his children had access to reputable schools. Upon migrating to the United States in 1998, he continued his journey of hard work, excelling in roles such as a life insurance agent, a certified nursing assistant for the County of San Diego for 15 years, and finally, as a distributor for Kangen Alkaline Water.
Jaime's hobbies and passions revealed his vibrant soul. He found joy in singing, dancing, traveling, attending church services, and extending help to others. A man of faith and compassion, he touched countless lives with his generosity and charming, ever-beautiful smile. To his family, Jaime was more than a provider—he was a source of unconditional love, support, and inspiration. He was always there, at any hour, ready to lend a hand or share a comforting word. To his loved ones, he will forever remain "the best papa in the world."
Visitation will be held on March 19, 2025, from 5 to 9 PM at the Glen Abbey Magnolia Room. Funeral and memorial services will follow on March 20, 2025, from 1 to 3 PM, also at Glen Abbey. Jaime's family kindly invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his incredible life and legacy.
Jaime Sales Tolentino's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he cherished. His life was a testament to resilience, love, and selflessness. Jaime's legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
