Many years have passed since my days living in the beautiful Golden Hills of San Diego, where I first met Jon. I hold such fond memories of him, Mark, and my partner Ed—all of whom are no longer with us. Their presence brought light into my life, and their memory still brings warmth to my heart. I wish you peace and happiness as you continue your journey, knowing that your light shone brightly and your lives were well-lived.

Where do I even start? I met Jon when my mom started going to see him when I was 12. He was such a huge part of my life. He was the kindest and sweetest soul. He always had the best jokes. When my mom saw him, I always made sure I could come with just to get one of his great big hugs. I’m so sorry for the Schilling family’s loss, the Bonita Central’s loss, and all of ours. I love you, Jon.

Today I found out Jon Peter passing.
I was a good friend and customer and was very sad by finding out of his passing.  He will be miss, may he Rest in Peace.

I’m so sorry that I found out so late.  Jon was a wonderful, upbeat person.  Seeing Jon always made my day and I’m going to miss him terribly.  My prayers to his family!

JON ALWAYS HAD THE BEST XMAS PARTIES!!!!!!!! HE WAS  MY HAIRDRESSER FOR MANY YEARS AND WHEN WE MOVED TO YUMA EVERY CHANCE I GOT I CAME TO SEE HIM!  I AM SO SAD FOR HIS FAMILY, HE WAS A WONDERFUL FRIEND AND I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY.

I never met a better, kinder, more loving person than Jon. I never will. He was absolutely one of a kind. All of us who were blessed to know him will have him in our hearts forever. Hugs and kisses and hope to see you soon, dear Jon.

Jon, my cousin/brother, my friend,  listen here, this wasn’t supposed to happen. You should be here in your house making me laugh as we planned. I’m here now, to honor you, send you off on your continued journey, and wish you my best.  Always I wish you my best. All my love and be patient we’ll laugh together again.

JON, or JELLY BEAN as l use to call him, was not only my hairdresser but one of my best friends. l am devastated over his loss. We were so much alike, always teasing each other and getting our feathers ruffled. But we were always laughing especially at his jokes! He was always putting on my sunglasses and would walk around the shop showing everybody.  The worst thing he would do  was sneak up behind me, pretend to sneeze while squirting me with his water bottle!!! He would laugh like crazy while l was having a fit. He got me every time.  That was Jon at his best.  l will miss him always, he was such a kind and special man.

John, extended his kindness the first day I started to work at Bonita central, he invited me to his home and we always shared jokes, he knew how to bring a smile to me and everyone working there, he taught me no to take life so seriously . I will miss him and I know Bonita central and the world was a better place because he was here with us.  

My Heart is sad and hurting for the loss of my Friend Jon. Mostly for His sister, nieces and grandnieces. It happened too sudden, taking too fast. We wished each other a good weekend on Friday and that was that. Didn’t see you again. I still think you are going to walk in any minute.Miss you a lot. RIP my friend.Hasta la Vista.😭🙏💙💙

Where do I begin.jon came to work at bonita central and took the station next to mine.that was 16 yrs ago.we were both geminis and both wanting to hoard the floor.sometimws when he would get involved taking politics I would have to keep my blow dryer on high until I could get his attention.he was the kindest most caring man.so many stories,his grandmothers sayings and his memory of the best jokes that he would always remember.I came to work each day knowing that we would make some kind of memory.Jon I miss you every day and you were right.You said the new shop was going to be fine and it is.THanks for loving my sister Susan so much and always letting me know how important family is.i love you,I miss you and ill be with you up there 1 day so save me a seat.xoxoxo

Jon Jon,
Jon Jon was a nickname  given to him because there were so many Jon’s (John) we knew.
I am extremely lucky to have known Jon for over 4 decades !!
Jon was a kind, intelligent, funny, talented, considerate, thoughtful…did I say kind ?  He also happens to be my best friend…

I met Jon in the early 70s. I was working in a salon called “The Great Haircut Place”.  Jon was applying for a job. He wore a black leather jacket, a well trimmed beard, and those piercing blue eyes.  I was like, who’s that handsome fella.  He said hi I’m Jon Schilling.  From that moment on we became instant friends.  Jon had a great affinity for meeting people.  Anyone who’s met Jon was instantly touched my his charm, good looks, and honesty.  
We all know Jon loved to tell jokes. His jokes would make me laugh so hard I would
almost pee my pants !  I will forever miss our phone conversations, and the many  Netflix movies we would talk about to watch.  We would name different restaurants he thought we ought to go out and try.  And let’s not forget his amazing Christmas parties.  Life is not going to be the same without him.
Jon….I can no longer see you with my eyes but I will feel you in my heart forever.

Jon, you were truly an earthly angel!  You were so good to me and always had that grin on your face that would make me laugh before you even told me your latest joke!  I will always treasure your fabulous Christmas parties and how beautiful your house was always decorated. So blessed to have known you and have you as my hairdresser and most of all my friend.  I will miss you beyond words.  RIP Jon.
