You take a big piece of our heart with you. Only God knows the sadness that overwhelms us each morning we wake up knowing we will not see your smiling face again.
Yet, through the pain…we smile. We smile when we suddenly remember how you lit up any room you entered. Yours was a commanding presence even at your quietest moments. Your quick wit and joking mind defined you in so many ways (sometimes to the dismay of your brother). You were an old soul and so kind to others including to the homeless when you helped provide them meals. You excelled in academics and athletics with friends and teammates naturally gravitating to you as a leader. You had such an inquisitive mind, even at an early age. It is of no wonder you devoured books the way you did. We’ll never understand your years-long passion for the Power Rangers. You must admit that was a weird one. Oh and your love for pho for breakfast, lunch and dinner made us shake our head…and smile.
Son, these and many, many more memories of you will forever live with us. They will help heal our collective heart…but never fully. Life will never be the same without you. We love you.
Our son is survived by his parents Yolanda and Anthony Blasing; Grandmothers Catalina Flores and Christine Piechura; siblings Sebastian, Bryan, and Daryan Blasing; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
