Lucas Rollie Toledo Villegas, age 85, a resident of Spokane, Washington, passed away February 24, 2024. He is survived by his six children, Marilou Daproza, Rollen Villegas, Ronald Villegas, Gerard Villegas, Leslie Bostic, Charlene Villegas-Tran and his older surviving sister Erlinda Dela Cruz. Growing up as a citizen of the Philippines in Kawit, Cavite to his parents, Lucas and Rosalia Villegas, he led a relatively simple life in his youth, however developed a hard work ethic. At 18, he enlisted in the United States Navy post-World War II and served in the Navy for more than twenty years until his retirement from the Naval Fleet Reserve during the 1980’s. It was his stint in the Navy that he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his time in Korea and the Sea of Japan. After his service, he relocated his family to San Diego, California with his late second wife, Adoracion Mendoza Villegas, where he became a longtime resident before moving to Washington state during his last years. A social butterfly, he enjoyed fishing, dancing, watching basketball, playing poker and mahjong, and spending time with family & friends. In addition, he absolutely adored his four grandchildren: Pascal Jordan and Cole Bostic, and Lucas and Mia Isabella Tran, who are also survived by him. Our family is grateful to know that Lucas Rollie is finally at peace and reunited with beloved wife, Adoracion.
