

Maggie Lou Mata was born on February 11, 1940. She first greeted the world in Cavite City, Philippines. Her parents' names were Johnny Wilson and Minnie Adela Wheeler. She was raised with one brother, Marvin Wilson.
As a young lady, Maggie met and fell in love with Maximo Talabucon Mata and the couple exchanged wedding vows on April 17, 1959. The wedding took place at The Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California. The two were blessed with four children, Julia Adela, Max John, Mary Linda and Freddie. Maggie worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later in life, Maggie was blessed with the joy of five grandchildren.
Fortunately, Maggie enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Maggie worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career as a business owner. She was the owner of Sampaguita Beauty Salon in National City, California for over twenty years
Maggie enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including gardening, crocheting, sewing and playing Super Keno at Sycuan Casino.
Maggie Lou Mata left us on October 13, 2011. She passed away at San Diego Hospice after fighting a valiant battle against cervical cancer. She is survived by her loving family and many friends. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses on October 18, 2011. Maggie was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
