Malcom Russell Calvert

Malcolm Russell (Russ) Calvert, was born on January 13, 1936, to Henry and Mattie Calvert of Mississippi.

Russ left Mississippi and relocated to San Diego, California with his 5 children Lisa Calvert, Tina Calvert, Gary Calvert, Rodger Calvert and Tammy Calvert. After moving to San Diego, Russ met and married Billie Francis Young. Billie gave birth to Russ's 6th child Russell Shane Calvert.

Russ was preceded by 2 of his children Lisa Calvert and Tina Calvert. Russ is survived by his wife Billie Calvert, children Gary, Rodger, Tammy, Shane, Daughter in-laws Eunice (Nici) Calvert, Claudia Calvert, Teri Calvert and loved niece and nephew Crystal and Joseph Erickson. Russ is also survived by 7 Grand Children Russell Calvert, Jason (Bubba) Calvert, Sarah Calvert, Claudette Calvert, Keyaira Hernandez, Leilani Edrozo, Malcolm Seth Calvert and 6 Great Grand Children Raven, Pelaiah, Fabian, Elisia, Isaac and Julian.

Russ worked as an Auto Mechanic for over 40 years until he created his own business, Russ Bee Removal, which he dedicated his life to for almost 20 years. During his years as an Auto Mechanic, Russ assisted the United States Customs by dismantling suspected vehicles of trafficking illegal narcotics and performed this service with honor and pride.

When Russ was not working one of his many jobs, you could find him fishing, going somewhere in his motor home, planning a trip with his beloved sister to visit family and friends in Mississippi or just spending time with his family at home.

No matter who you were, Russ loved to talk to anyone. Most people who knew him were greeted with a warm welcome and a Russ Bee Removal keepsake. The strength, courage and his fight for life is an inspiration to all. Russ will be greatly missed.
