Norval Jean Conner, age 74, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Sharp Medical Center in Chula Vista. He was born on July 10, 1943, in Oregon to Clifton and Alice (Paxson) Conner. He proudly retired as a Storekeeper Senior Chief after a 20-year career in the United States Navy. He was beloved by all who knew him as a proud parent, grandparent and American. His joyful disposition was endearing to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife Remie, daughters, Alice, Floramye and Norma, son, Reuel, 15 grandchildren, brothers Nelson and Neil, and sister, Patricia. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rose, son, Robert, and sisters, Alice and Betty. Viewing will be held at Glen Abbey Mortuary at the Little Lodge, 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, on Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Mater Dei Catholic Church, 1571 Magdalena Ave., Chula Vista, on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 am. Military Honors will take place back at Glenn Abbey Mortuary after the service at 11:30 am.
