With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Pedro Ernesto Gonzalez, who went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2025, at the age of 66. He passed peacefully in Murrieta, California, surrounded by his loving family.
Pedro was born on April 28, 1959, in Los Angeles Ca, to Carmen Velasco Gonzalez. Known affectionately by many names, - Dad, Tata, Peter, Pete, Bro, Nino, Tio-, He was most importantly a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He now rests in the presence of our Lord God Almighty, fully redeemed, healed and at peace.
Pedro was a loving Father to Devina, Peter, Gabriel, Valerie, Jorge and Christopher.
He is now reunited in Heaven with his precious son, Baby Peter, whom he never stopped holding in his heart. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and were blessed by his laughter, love and presence. Pedro was a cherished brother to Becky, Debbie, Louisa, Margaret and Elizabeth, and a loyal friend to many.
Peter's sense of humor was truly One-of-a-kind - his infectious laughter and quick wit could brighten any room. He was a natural jokester, never missing a chance to make someone laugh, whether through a well-timed joke, honking of the horn, a playful whistle, or pulling off a clever trick to make people "look" and get their attention. He had a remarkable gift for making others smile wherever he went. His humor was magnetic and unforgettable.
A talented and hard working man, Pete was a master painter and a true "Jack of All Trades." There wasn't much he couldn't fix, and his work ethic was rooted in his childhood, when he began working in the fields of Chula Vista at the age of 9 to help support his family. That same dedication stayed with him throughout his life.
Tata took pleasure in the simple, beautiful moments - watching movies with his mother and grandkids, celebrating birthdays, and making those around him feel seen, loved and special. Family was the heart of his life.
