Prescila Mendoza Laluan, known affectionately as Presing, was born on July 2, 1928 and was raised in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, Philippines. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried on her family’s traditions and values all of her life. She is the oldest among the 5 children of parents Irenio and Basilisa Mendoza. Prescila graduated as a kindergarten teacher, nurturing her students with both unconditional love and patience.
Prescila went on to marry her first love, Feliciano Laluan, and together they raised 6 children: May, Telet, Persia, Lyn, Fe, and Beth. Her children were her life, and she decided to sacrifice her teaching profession in order to care for them. Her grandchildren – Mark, Jane, Irish, John, Jill, Marestel, Doris, Heiko, and Katrina – were her pride and joy. Watching them grow and thrive was her greatest achievement. Her great-grandchildren – Oshua, Callen, Rylan, Ezren, Ashton, Axel, Julina, Natalie, and Scarlett - were her happiness. Their laughter was music to her ears.
Prescila loved gardening, watching TFC, collecting photos of loved ones, and attending church. Her passion for life touched us all, and her generosity extended beyond her family.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as her brother and sister, Joselito Mendoza and Luz Mendoza Laluan.
