Ray C. Heredia

On the evening of October 21st, 2016, our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Ray passed away after a battle with esophageal cancer at Scripps Chula Vista Hospital. Ray went to St. Michael's Academy and graduated from Marian High School in 1987. Ray loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Ray enjoyed being with friends and had a great sense of humor. If you were feeling down he would be the person to go to, to bring a smile to your face. Ray was a huge Star Wars fan and even more loved the San Diego Chargers. He was the son of Ray and Delia Heredia and brother to Dena Larson and Julie Olszower and Uncle to Krysten Larson, Stephanie Coffin and Nicholas Olszower, and a loving cousin and friend to all. Both Paul and Steve his brother-in laws will miss their "Cunuado.” Ray was a huge presence in our lives and will be deeply missed by all, especially his beautiful smile and contagious laugh. We know that memories of our lifetime with Ray are all we have now but we are happy that we actually had that bond and love for each other and our memories will forever be in our hearts. Our memories will serve as funny reminders that its okay to get an extra slice of cake, maybe even two, and that its okay to break out into rap and song to get a good laugh out of everyone. Overall Ray taught all of us to live in the moment. We will always remember Ray’s bear hugs and wet kisses. We love him and will miss him dearly.
