Raymond DeCastro Hutton, born November 10th, 1982 in Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines, to parents Raymond and Lolita Hutton, passed away unexpectedly August 17th, 2014. Raymond, always lovingly known to family and friends as Ray, was raised in National City, California, graduated from Sweetwater High School in April 2001.
Ray enlisted in the United States Navy in 2001, following in his father’s footsteps. He served 4 years of his young adult life in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic, serving from 2001-2005. During his service, he was awarded the Aviation Special Warfare pin and completed two deployments to the Persian Gulf.
Ray had a passion for music. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing with family and friends. He inherited his dancing moves from his mother, always in rhythm with the beat. He always knew how to bring life to the party. Ray loved technology like his dad. Always interested in the next big thing, whether it be computers, stereos, or video games.
Ray had a contagious smile. Even if you were having a bad day, if he smiled at you, you couldn’t help, but smile too. He was loving and thoughtful like his mother, always thinking how he could help, when help was needed.
In late 2004, Ray met his future wife, Valerie Pangelinan. They had their first child, Malakhai Ray Hutton, on March 21st, 2005 and on August 7th, 2005, married in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were blessed again with their second child, Romeo Alexander Hutton, on May 15th, 2006. Of all of Ray’s accomplishments in his life, the greatest two were the births of his two beautiful sons.
Ray left our lives too soon, but he will be forever missed, in our thoughts and memories, living on through his sons.
Arrangements under the direction of Glen Abbey Mortuary, Bonita, CA.
