To My Dearest Dad,
I miss you so much.  You’ve left a void in my heart that hurts terribly.  I can’t think of you without shedding a few tears.  I regret not visiting more often these past few years and I regret not planning more family vacations with you and Mom.   I just thought we would have more time you.  I wish we could turn back time so I can make things right.  The way you always try to make things right for us, you’re family.  I can only hope to be the kind of person you are to all of us.  You gave all of yourself to us and asked for nothing in return.  I will miss our conversation about the Padres. I will miss your cooking, specifically, kare-kare, pusit adobo, arozcaldo, ham hocks, pinapaitan, and countless others.  You were always there for us when we needed help financially, help with picking up the kids, help with fixing our cars, help with housing.  It didn’t matter that you were struggling financially yourself, you did things to make it happen.  I will pay it forward by taking care of Mom the way you took care of us.  I will miss you til eternity and I will love you forever.

I miss you so much Uncle. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you.  You treated us as like your own kids when we moved here in 2006. This family is so special and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I miss you hanging out with you at the family gatherings outside. I cherish those times! I love you so much❤️❤️

Dear Grandpa,  thank you for everything you have done for me. From picking me up from school, hanging out with me every time i was dropped off there, and all the great food you cooked and many
more. I will always miss seeing you in the backyard when i visit in your wife beater either cooking or just hanging outside. I’m gonna miss watching football and baseball with you even when you get mad over a lot of things that make me laugh. I still listen to your voicemail if you asking me what the baseball stream website is and it’s nice to hear your voice again. I’m gonna make you proud and do my best in everything because i know you beloved in me so much to do a lot. I know you’re looking down upon us all and we all miss you. You were my best friend since birth. I love you so much, till we meet again. ❤️

I’m so thankful to have been able to have a Grandpa figure, after mine passed away in 2001. I will always be thankful for his support, encouragement, and humor.

dear grandpa, i wanted to let you know that i am forever grateful for what you and grandma did for us. you took me, my brothers, my 3 giant dogs, and parents in with open arms to live with you and grandma  for a little bit. i never fully took advantage with the time i had with you and i regret it so much. those few months living with you was so much fun. i’m glad that i spent that time with you and grandma. it was always easy for you to make me laugh. you have created so many fun memories with me and my brothers. it will take me a while to process and accept everything but you are always going to be in my heart grandpa. i love and miss you so much. rest in peace. 🍻💕

True selflessness is a word that most of us could use to describe you, even as you lay in bed lifeless you still kept your body warm long enough for me to get there and hug you and lay my head on your warm stomach just as I use to do when I was a child. You are the first person I call, if I need to fix my car, fix anything inside or outside my house,to ask about any worldly news or anything Fox News related. Your heart was bigger than the entire world and you always wore it on your shoulder. Everyone knew how you felt, you always smiled and tried to feed everyone. I will truly miss your arescaldo, diganuon and my all time fav Kare Kare. Nobody else can compare. You cared for so many people and made sure they were taken care of. Growing up, our house was always filled with people, who needed a little help. You brought us all together and made us so much closer.  You loved our entire family and you would give your last penny to make us happy. You never cared about material things, only our happiness and that family should always be together. You showed me that you are the strongest and hardest working person.  It shows, since you were a little kid, selling gum/candy to passer-byers, going to college to be an engineer and leaving your last year of college to join the US Navy. You were determined to make a better life for yourself and your wife…and you did! You built a beautiful home with an extraordinary wife, 4 kids with great spouses and 12 grandchildren.  You always worked hard and I’ve admired that. You always aimed higher and kept busy.  You continued to cook, clean and fix things around the house up until you went to the hospital.  When I asked, “Why don’t you just rest and relax?” You answered, “I have to keep working and moving, once I stop I will die.” I guess you were right. You were there for 3 weeks, bored while watching Fox News. Im so sorry we were not able to see you before you left this world.  But I know you will always be around…watching over us, telling me how to switch lanes properly and telling me to always visit mom. I just want to say thank you…thank you so very much for everything you have done for me and my family. I will miss you and love you forever.

RIP Grandpa Aquio. I’m thankful you were able to come to Hawaii when I got married. I know we don’t always see you often but I’m glad we saw you last summer even tho it was for a few hours. You will be dearly missed. Visiting San Diego won’t be the same without you. Say hi to Nanang for me. I know she’s happy to have her baby brother with her. Love you always. 🕊😢

Manang Marjorie and I surprised you on your 70th birthday.  When you open  the door and saw us, you said, “You two, don’t do this again else, you’ll give me a heart attack.” “ Thank you for coming babbalasangko.”  We flew from Virginia to celebrate your birthday. with everyone. We had a great time. Thank you Uncle for the good memories.  

Dear Papa Ron,  we are still in complete disbelief that you are gone now. You have bonded the whole family together in love. We admire your selfless love towards everyone most especially your children and  your grandchildren. Thank you for the love that you’ve shown each one of us.  We will miss your smile, your hugs,  and everything that you have done for us. Mostly, we will miss you. Rest In Peace now Papa Ron, Heaven is rejoicing for gaining another angel in you.  We promise that we will take care of Mama Inday. We love you 💕🙏

Your last visit to the Philippines in 2019
with noeces and nephews from Gonzaga, Cagayan.’, brother, sister, nieces, and  nephews from Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.  Our cousins  from Gonzaga  go extra miles just to see you. They very proud of you. 
I am sure things will be different now that you joined our Creator. Rest in Peace Uncle.

I am lost and devastated. I don’t know how to console my grieving heart at your departure. I know mourning is not the best way to say goodbye to you, but I don’t know how to control myself! You will be missed forever and always. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of the great person that you were. 
Thank you for your love. Thank you for the lessons. Thank you for the understandings. Thank you for sharing your “kare-kare” recipe. It is now everybody’s favorite and most requested.
Rest in peace up in heaven my dear Uncle. I love you. Until we meet again.

God has plan on us living in this world. And when the time comes up , there's nothing we can do but, to accept his will. Now that you're resting peacefully, your legacy remains forever in the hearts  of our dear friends and our love ones. 

You're now in the house of the Lord joining our brother Ernie in heaven. He left a successful navy career as Engineman in the submarine force . And you spend your navy career in the CB (construction battalion ). Yours truly, still surviving from many obstacles, like caregiver service to my wife. Also served in the navy onboard surface ships as IC ( interior communications) . Thankfully, the Lord blessed 3 of us were able to served in the us navy in the engineering department .
 
As time goes by, we are leaving our dear friends and relatives with unblemished and patriotic military service. And this will be a legacy on us when we depart from this world .Until we meet  again cousins. God bless your soul. 

You will certainly be missed.  Will never forget the times when we were growing up together.  Gone but not forgotten.  With sincerest and deepest sympathy to the bereaved family!

Dear Papa Ron, you are a solid rock of the family, your presence with us is always a blessing. Thanks for always being there for the good and bad.  We will miss you very much, but I know you are still with us.

My heart breaks knowing I won’t see your smiling face and feel your embrace.  You never stopped being a Dad to me. I am grateful for your love for me and my kids. I love you Dad. I thank God for giving Nikki and Nevin your smile. They smile just like the way you smile.

We will remember this as one of the happiest time we had with him and all of you.  We couldn't wait to go for another visit as soon as international  travels allow and was also preparing for when you could come visit us. I was so looking forward to this possibility. It would have been another happy,  funny, and exciting reunion.  Papa Ax has always treated us like his own and  he extended the same warmth and care to our children.   A real  father/uncle image indeed. We'll miss the humour, the teasing, the cooking, and the mahjong games we shared with Papa Ax.  We will never forget his brand  of grumpiness because he is the only person we know who could carry so much love behind the serious face. Most of all, thank you for the life's lessons you shared. Dear Mama Inday, Mike, Rob, Jay, and Jill, Iris, Jing, Bev, and Cole,
I cannot imagine the depth of your pain for losing Papa Aquio. My heart breaks for all of you. There are no words of comfort that will fill the void he has left, but I hope that the lifetime of memories you have will dull some of the pain you feel. He had loved you all so dearly and fully and extended it to Don when he lived with you. I will always cherish the times we spent together and the easy banter we used to have with him. Sending you all our love and prayers. We will miss you, Papa Aquio,  but you can rest now in God's embrace. 

To our dearest Auntie & the kids (Mike, Rob, Jay & Jill) including your wives, husband and all of our little cousins we send you our most sincere condolences! Uncle, from the moment we moved to San Diego almost 16 years ago you and the family have treated Alicia, Anayla & I like a son, daughter & grandchild. We’ll be forever grateful for that unconditional love you’ve shown us and will continue to share your legacy of family first to the next generation of Baclig’s. We’re devastated & heartbroken on your unexpected passing but someday we’ll meet again. Until then RIP Uncle!

Uncle, you were always so kind, caring and funny. All the family gatherings and weekend trips were so memorable. You welcomed everyone with open arms and was highly respected. Life is so short . It gets shorter each day and life on earth quickly passes away . Just like that , it was time for you to go . And the reason why neither one of us will ever know . Rest now , Uncle...until we meet again. Thank you for the wonderful memories , you will always be in my heart .

I will be forever grateful to Uncle Aquio for my college degree. Through his help, we were able to get out of those challenging years. 
He wept for his Ate, my Mama Carling, when she passed and I felt comforted, though he’s far away. I hope somehow this can provide that too to those who’d need it.
