Rose Ann Chisholm

Rose Ann Chisholm, daughter of Alvin and Rosielee White, was born on June 26, 1951 in San Francisco California. She is the younger of their two children. After high school, she was accepted into Pepperdine University, but, instead, chose to stay close to family.

In May of 1974, she and then husband, Lee “Yogi” Edwards had their only son, Johnathan Edwards. During that time Rose worked as a bank teller at Wells Fargo Bank and lived in Hayward California.

Shortly after Johnathan was born, in San Francisco California, Rose met and fell in love with Keith Chisholm. They were married in 1977, in the same year they moved to Oakland California to start their family. In May of 1984, they welcomed their first son, Marques Chisholm. In May of 1987 Keith and Rose had their second son, Timothy Chisholm. They continued to live in Oakland until 1996, when they decided to move down to sunny Southern California.

Shortly after moving to San Diego, Rose began working for the City of San Diego Water Department. Along with her new career, she found a new church for her and her family to attend, Bayview Baptist Church in Southeast San Diego. Later, she continued her walk of faith with Our Fathers House of Worship in Spring Valley. There she continued to improve her relationship with the Lord until her passing.

Rose was a loving wife and mother. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved to tag along during family outings with her grandchildren and loved being called “Nana”. Her favorite place in the world to visit was Jamaica. Her favorite music was any type of smooth jazz. She loved to watch reruns of old sitcoms and judge shows. More than anything, her favorite times were spent with her family.

Rose was preceded in death by her mother Rosie Lee White and father Alvin Lee White Sr.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful legacy, husband, Keith A. Chisholm; three sons Johnathan Edwards, Marques Chisholm and Timothy Chisholm; brother Alvin White Jr; grandchildren, LaMarcus Chisholm, Maya Chisholm, Brycen Chisholm and Kairo Chisholm and a host of relatives and friends.
