

Rudy Santos Aragones was born on December 4, 1928 to Juan and Macaria Aragones. Rudy was raised in Tarlac, Philippines with five siblings, Remedios Aragones, Antonio Aragones, Diosdado Aragones, Naty Aragones, and Cesar Aragones.
Rudy met and fell in love with Virginia Nimuan Que and the couple happily exchanged wedding vows on September 8, 1963. The wedding ceremony was held in the Philippines. Rudy and Virginia were blessed with three children, Bernadette, Emily and Gina. He migrated to the United States where he raised his family. Later in life they received the joy of having a grand-daughter, Mia Ann Aragones Halili.
Showing a strong work ethic, Rudy worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career in the Navy. Rudy was employed as a Sheet Metal Mechanic for 18 years. He retired as an E-6 after 21 years of honorable service.
Rudy enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various activities including tennis, photography, boxing, jogging, and fishing. He also liked Carpentry, Drawing/Drafting and car repair. Rudy was always happy and willing to share his interests with others.
Rudy left us on January 19, 2012 at the age of 85. He passed away in San Diego, California of advanced Diabetes with complications of the heart and kidneys. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Q. Aragones; Bernadette Halbrook, Emily Aragones Duarte, Gina Aragones Halili and grand-daughter Mia Ann Aragones Halili. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Diego, California on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Rudy S. Aragones was later laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
