

On June 3, 1958 Su-Yen exchanged wedding vows with Chester Chu in Hong Kong. Empathic and loyal, Su-Yen was committed to making her new family happy.
Su-Yen worked hard to be a great mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Su-Yen was blessed with four children, Roxanne, Roland, Herman and Rosalind.
Su-Yen passed away on September 3, 2010. She fought a brave battle against lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, Chester Chu; children, Roxanne Chu- Cheng, Roland Chu, Herman Chu, and Rosalind Kovacs; as well as her grandchildren. Services for Su-Yen were held at The Little Chapel of the Roses. She was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Su-Yen exemplified a perfect mother, grandmother, and daughter-in-law in so many ways. Her untiring work ethic provided unparalleled opportunities for her off-spring. Her ever-forgiving nature led to harmonious family relationships, and her warmth in caring for others resulted in unmatched comfort for her parents and in-laws. She aided her husband to financial success. She gave her all to loved ones, repaying wrongs with complete kindness. She was a mother that anyone could ever hope for. She will be missed dearly.
